About the BMW i7
The BMW 7-Series has long been proof that a luxury executive sedan can also be rewarding to drive. With the introduction of the all-electric i7, drivers can now experience the best of both worlds – effortless power delivery and exceptionally efficient performance. The i7 blends the traditional luxury elements that have always made BMW vehicles great with the latest in cutting-edge technology. Impeccable in-cabin refinement including lush upholstery choices, personalized comfort features, and elegant design cues further showcase the upscale environment inside the i7. A comprehensive suite of driver-assist technologies and connectivity features make the BMW i7 a true technological marvel both inside and out.
What the Critics Say
All-wheel drive is standard and acceleration is brisk for such a large vehicle. BMW claims the i7 xDrive60 will hit 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. We wouldn’t be surprised if it were even quicker. During our drive of a prototype model in Germany, we noted [its] particularly smooth ride and a hushed cabin. The i7 won’t attract buyers looking for sports-sedan handling, but those seeking a comfortable and luxurious experience will find much to like.” — Car & Driver
The interior of the BMW i7 is sure to meet or exceed your expectations for a flagship luxury sedan. It goes without saying that the interior space is generous, and the seats are comfortable. Extended Merino leather upholstery and oak trim come standard. With the BMW Individual Composition option, you can tailor this interior precisely to your liking. You have six different leather color options and interior trim options ranging from carbon fiber to four types of wood.” — Kelley Blue Book
What’s New for 2025
There are a variety of minor tweaks to the BMW i7 for the 2025 model year. The contents of the previously optional Premium Package 2 are now included with the available Executive Package. This includes features like a 360-degree camera, park assist function, and illuminated grilles. i7 eDrive50 models now come standard with the Panoramic Sky Lounge Roof while xDrive60 trims gain massaging front seats along with ventilated/massaging rear seats.
BMW i7 Features

Cutting-Edge Technology
As the flagship of the all-electric BMW lineup, the i7 is on the absolute cutting edge of automotive technology. This largest 7-Series ever also has an impressively high capacity battery with a total of 105.6-kWh. This battery is the foundation for your choice of three different drivetrains. The first is a single-motor rear-wheel drive setup that produces 449 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Opt for a dual motor setup and you’ll receive all-wheel drive along with 536 horsepower and 549 lb-ft of torque. Or you could choose the performance-oriented M70 which also uses a dual-motor setup and turns the power up to 650 horsepower and 749 lb-ft of torque. On top of this, there is an estimated 314 miles** of range on a single charge (for the eDrive50 RWD trim) and DC fast charging can add 76-89 miles of range in 10 minutes. Inside, you’ll find the BMW Curved Display which merges together the 12.3-inch Digital Instrument Cluster and the 14.9-inch Central Information Display touchscreen. Below that, you’ll find a new feature known as the BMW Interaction Bar. This turns what is usually an inert piece of trim into dynamic illumination, integrated with controls for the air vents, glove compartment, and more.

Elegant Styling
Although the electric motor in the BMW i7 might allow you to arrive silently, you surely won’t arrive unnoticed. The large grille is illuminated and you have the option of getting the split-element headlights made from crystal. While the i7 is large, the styling remains athletic and communicates the advanced technology found under the sheet metal. A set of large aerodynamic wheels set the i7 apart from the conventional 7-Series and are also designed to cut down on resistance and improve electric range. The i7 offers an impressive 12 standard paint colors. However, there is also the BMW Individual option which expands the list to 165 colors and gives you a number of other bespoke interior options.

Immersive Technology
The automatic doors of the BMW i7 open to greet you to an interior that sets a new standard in luxury. Optional reclining rear seats hold you in comfort while you enjoy the optional 31-inch BMW Theater Screen, operated by 5.5-inch touchscreens integrated into the door handles, with audio played through the standard Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work wirelessly and there are multiple wireless charging pads. The standard Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof comes with integrated LED lighting with customizable colors and a whole range of mood lighting options.
