BMW 7 Series

About the BMW 7 Series

Now in its seventh generation, the BMW 7 Series remains the most technologically advanced flagship luxury sedan on the market. In terms of performance, drivers can choose from turbocharged 6- or 8-cylinder engines along with a sophisticated plug-in hybrid powertrain for maximum efficiency. BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive adds confidence, traction, and agility to your driving experience. Gracefully-chiseled proportions and alluring bodywork highlight the striking exterior design of the BMW 7 Series. Drivers will have access to the latest BMW iDrive 8.5 infotainment system in addition to a 14.9-inch Central Information Display. There are 12 different paint color options, as well as 17 interior color options, with a huge selection of additional bespoke options available through BMW Individual. The BMW Interaction Bar integrates a number of controls, as well as beautiful interior lighting.

What the Critics Say

You can get it with a turbocharged inline-six, a plug-in hybrid, or a twin-turbo V-8, but no matter which engine is under the hood, the 7-series delivers a glassy-smooth ride and a hushed interior perfect for long-distance treks. When the road turns twisty, the 7-series can have a little fun and a rear-wheel steering system works to add some agility to the equation.” – Car and Driver

As for the cabin, it’s outstanding. Buyers get the same strong build quality and premium materials alongside thoroughly modern tech. We appreciate that the front infotainment screen is more restrained than the overwhelming Hyperscreen in a Mercedes EQS, and BMW really goes off in the back seat with an available 31.3-inch 8K display and little touchscreens in each door.” – MotorTrend

What’s New for 2025

The current generation of the 7 Series is still quite new, so the 2025 updates are minor, though still highly useful. The first tweak better integrates Apple’s Siri assistant, so that you no longer need to press the push-to-talk button to use it. The other change was to the available Highway Assist hands-free driving tech. The system will now suggest lane changes when appropriate, and you can confirm simply by looking at the appropriate side mirror.
