About the BMW 7 Series

Now in its seventh generation, the BMW 7 Series remains the most technologically advanced flagship luxury sedan on the market. In terms of performance, drivers can choose from turbocharged 6- or 8-cylinder engines. BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive adds confidence, traction, and agility to your driving experience. Gracefully-chiseled proportions and alluring bodywork highlight the striking exterior design of the BMW 7 Series. Drivers will have access to the latest BMW iDrive 8 infotainment system in addition to a 14.9-inch Central Information Display. There are 11 different paint color options, as well as 15 interior options, with a huge selection of additional bespoke options available through BMW Individual. The BMW Interaction Bar integrates a number of controls, as well as beautiful interior lighting.

What the Critics Say

Its handling is a little more lithe than the 2022 car’s thanks to some changes to the chassis and suspension, including a new rear-wheel steering system. Its driver-assistance tech provides a semi-autonomous driving mode for highway slogs but the car’s showstopping feature is an optional 31.3-inch rear entertainment display called Theater Screen that drops from the ceiling and streams TV and movies using the onboard Wi-Fi system.” — Car & Driver

Both gas engines are mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and both ship as standard with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This mild-hybrid system can boost the output by 12 hp and 147 lb-ft of torque. The additional low-down torque supplied by the electric motor will likely positively affect fuel consumption. At higher speeds, the car will also engage a coasting function. The engine will shut down completely, but the vehicle will retain a steady pace using only the 147 lb-ft provided by the electric motor.” — CarBuzz

Things like the BMW Interation Bar and the massive rear BMW Theater Screen aren’t things you’ll find on any competing car. This new 7 Series is on the absolute cutting edge of technology, while still setting the bar for large luxury sedans.
